I offer a range of services as a sensitivity reader and consultant specialising in bisexual/queer representation. I’m happy to consider manuscripts across any genre or readership, however I do have a passion for young adult and romance, and I would consider those genres my area of expertise.
As a sensitivity reader, I’ll examine your manuscript for unconscious bias, biphobia, homophobia, and bierasure, and bring to your attention any stereotyping, or harmful representation. I will make recommendations and suggest improvements as required.
Sensitivity
Full Manuscript
$400 for up to 80,000 words
I will conduct two readings of your manuscript, and write an in-depth report assessing the representation and address what works well and what doesn’t. I will provide suggestions or solutions for problematic representation.
Partial Manuscript/Short Story/Scenes
$60 for 10,000 words
If you have a smaller work of fiction, or part of a manuscript that requires a SR, I can provide that service too. I will conduct two readings of your piece, and write an in-depth assessment addressing areas that are problematic, as well as highlighting representation that is working well. As with a full manuscript SR reading, I will suggest solutions for problematic representation as needed.
Zoom Sensitivity Consultations
$60 for 30 minutes.
